Pulli Vettaykkoru Magan is basically the prominant theyyam for the people belonging to Potters caste.
Pulli Vettaykkoru Magan is a small variation from Vettaykkoru Magan.

In comparison with Vettaykkoru Magan theyyam, Pulli Vettaykkoru Magan theyyam is more acrobatic in performance and furious. Vettaykkoru Magan had an association with pullimala fort and he was known by the name pullimala Vettaykkoru Magan, later trimmed to Pulli Vettaykkoru Magan.
Another difference between the two theyyam lies in the companionship they keeps. Vettaykkoru Magan had a friend called Urpazhassi. No such companion is known for Pulli Vettaykkoru Magan. But Pulli Vettaykkoru Magan had a boy servant along with him(Usually performed as Kutty Theyyam).
Pulli Vettaykkoru Magan theyyam calls this kutty theyyam by the name "Cherukkan".

Mun thiri vellattom is a vellattom for Pulli Vettaykkoru Magan.
After the sunset, an oil lit lamp is created using the banana shrub's parts and the theyyam performance is carried out from the light generated.
This lamp is called Mun – Thiri or Munthiri. When the Vellattoms are performed using the light from Mun – Thiri – Lamp, the lamp is called Munthiri Vellattom.
Its beloeved that from the light generated from lamp, the night become day and it helps in war.
