After the performance, Theyyam sits down in the peedam(Royal Seat) for almost 8 hours for blessing the numerous devotees that comes not only from Kannur district but even from the far flung areas. Bhagavathy provides Kanaka podi(fine grained turmeric powder and rice powder) which is considered to prevent 96 diffferent epidemics.
